Name               

          The Society founded in November 1964 shall be named THE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S CLUB OF THAILAND. 

Character               

          The club shall be a secular and strictly non-political organization and its official communications shall be in English. The international character of the club shall be maintained by keeping the membership to, as nearly as possible, one-third Thai, and two-thirds all other nationalities. This rule shall be applied to the regular membership only. 

IWC Mission Statement               

          To operate pertaining to all four objectives stated in the IWC Constitution, stressing primarily on promoting international friendship amidst the secular, non-political and multi-cultural atmosphere with a special touch of the host country’s unique characteristics of Thai Culture and etiquette. 

General Policies

          1. The current “Policies of the IWC” shall be published in the IWC Directory.  Exceptions to policies must be approved by the IWC Board of Directors.  Policy changes shall be published in the IWC Bulletin. 

              2. Any correspondence, communication or information about the IWC must be approved by the President or her designee. 

              3. Minutes of the monthly Board Meetings and Treasurer’s Reports shall be posted on the IWC web site.  Minutes of the January Business Meeting shall be posted in the June Bulletin.  Minutes of the AGM shall be posted in the January Bulletin of the following year.  All minutes of the Business Meetings and the AGM shall also be posted in the IWC web site.
